Privacy Policy
Summary
WordLiving is a Bible reader. We do not sell your data. v1 does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or social tracking (no Meta/Facebook SDK, no Firebase Analytics, no third-party ad networks).
What we collect
Data stored on your device only
WordLiving stores the following locally on your phone using on-device storage (AsyncStorage):
- Whether you completed onboarding
- Your selected Bible translation (WEB, KJV, or RV1909)
- Your last-read verse position in the feed
- Verses you save (heart)
- Your preference for showing surrounding verses
This data does not leave your device unless you back it up through your phone’s OS backup (e.g. Google account backup on Android). We do not receive it on our servers.
Data you choose to share
When you use Share as Reel, WordLiving generates a PNG image on your device and opens your phone’s system share sheet. We do not see where you post it (Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.).
What we do NOT collect (v1)
- No account registration or login
- No email, name, or phone number collected by the app
- No precise location
- No device advertising ID usage
- No cross-app tracking
- No crash/analytics services in v1
Bible text
Bundled Bible translations (World English Bible, King James Version, Reina-Valera 1909) are public domain text files shipped inside the app. Reading the Bible does not transmit verse text to Harmonic Guild LLC.
Children
WordLiving is suitable for general audiences (religious text). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone because we do not collect personal information in v1.
Third-party services
v1 uses standard platform APIs only:
- Google Play (Android distribution) — governed by Google Play Terms and Google Privacy Policy for store/account matters, not in-app tracking by WordLiving.
- Expo / React Native (app framework) — no WordLiving-operated backend in v1.
Data retention & deletion
Uninstalling WordLiving removes locally stored app data from your device (subject to OS backup behavior). We hold no server copy in v1.
International users
Harmonic Guild LLC is based in the United States. Local Bible text stays on your device.
Changes
We will update this policy if we add accounts, analytics, or payments. Material changes will be reflected in the Play Store listing and a new effective date.
Your rights
Because v1 stores data locally and operates without user accounts, most requests are satisfied by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. For questions: privacy@harmonicguild.com.
